What an exciting and busy last few days of school for 2021. We have the Grade 6 Big Day Out today, assemblies next week and the much-anticipated Big Day In. As we come towards the end of a school year, we also sadly say goodbye to some of our staff members. I would like to acknowledge and thank the professionalism and dedication of the following staff;
- Mrs Emma Constantine
- Miss Meaghan Hosking
- Mrs Emma Sterta
- Miss Cyndra Williams
- Mrs Bron McDougal
Thank you for all you have done for the students at BPS!
Whilst Mr Andrew Woodard is not leaving BPS he is changing roles in 2022. Mr Woodard has decided he missed teaching the students too much and is moving into a teacher role at the school from 2022 onwards. So, I would like to sincerely thank Mr Andrew Woodard for all his contributions to the leadership of the school and wider community. Mr Woodard has been instrumental in establishing the Makerspace and elevating STEAM and digital technologies into mainstream subjects. His innovative thinking, passion and dedication to BPS has been an asset to the entire school community. On behalf of all the staff thank you for all you have done as Assistant Principal at Burnie Primary School.
I would also like to take this opportunity to announce a new staff member joining the Burnie Primary School team in 2022, Miss Kerryn Duncan. Miss Duncan, won the Assistant Principal position, is an experienced leader in the department, and we are looking forward to her becoming a valued member of the Burnie Primary School community.

End of Year Assembly
Tickets for the assembly have nearly gone so if you haven’t booked any please use the links within the app to secure your tickets. If you are having difficulty securing your tickets, please contact the office.
When you arrive at the JMC you will be required to check in and sanitise. We also ask that you fill up the seats set out rather than standing.
We look forward to celebrating the year with our students families.
Wishing everyone a relaxing and safe holiday!
