As the term draws to a close it is always worthwhile to take some time to look back at the achievements that have been made and the opportunities that are coming in the future. These achievements and opportunities, while having some similarities, will be different for everyone. Over the first 2 terms of this year the students and teachers have worked hard together to maximise learning outcomes and to support Burnie Primary in being a wonderful school.
Thankyou to everyone who attended the meetings with teachers to discuss your child’s report and learning growth. It is so important that parents and carers play a role in their child’s learning and this is also vital to a student’s understanding of the importance of education. If you were not able to attend a meeting during the set times, please reach out to your child’s class teacher to arrange a meeting.
Congratulations to all students who have been involved in sporting teams, eisteddfods and extra curricula activities throughout term 2. The manner in which you have represented your school and your community is commendable. An example of the positive representation of the school was evident yesterday when the Grade 6 Students attended a transition day at Burnie High School. The reports were that the students were engaged, involved and participated to an exemplary level.
