Thank you to all our lovely families who were able to attend our Tunes for Tots Launch into Learning sessions this term – it was great to get to know you, explore music with you and make many playdough creations!
While we have unfortunately had to cancel our Launch into Learning Programs for the remainder of the term there are, however, lots of lovely things you are able to do at home with minimal equipment and some imagination!
Singing and Movement:
Below are links to Mrs Matthews’ Tunes for Tots playlists – you don’t need any special tools to sing or dance along and have your own Tunes for Tots sessions at home! A container filled with rice or pots and pans make wonderful improvised instruments! Neck scarves can be substituted as dancing scarves and you can sing along to the recordings. J

Playdough
A tip that Mrs Matthews was given by a Launch into Learning colleague was to use coconut oil when making playdough (rather than vegetable) and to add a little more than recipe suggests. Makes for soft and nice smelling playdough.
Take Home Packs
Mrs Matthews will be working on getting together some take home packs and resources that our Launch into Learning families will be welcome to borrow. Please keep an eye on school communication for news of when these will be available to borrow.
Remember we also have puzzles and books available to be borrowed – contact Mrs Matthews at Burnie Primary School on Mon/Tues/Fri if you would like to access these.
