We had an incredible time at our first whole-school picnic for Prep to Year 6 at Splash! The beautiful weather set the perfect backdrop for a day filled with laughter, smiles, and a wonderful sense of community. It was heartwarming to see families, students, and staff come together, enjoying games, delicious food, and each other's company. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this event so special!

Gifts
As we approach the end of the school year, I want to take a moment to thank you for your ongoing support and partnership throughout 2024. It’s been a privilege to work with you and your children, and we are so proud of their accomplishments this year.
We understand that some families may wish to show their appreciation to teachers and staff with gifts at this time of year. While we deeply value your thoughtfulness and generosity, we kindly ask that you refrain from giving personal gifts to staff members. This helps us ensure fairness and maintain a welcoming environment for everyone in our community.
If you would still like to express your gratitude, we encourage meaningful gestures such as handwritten notes, cards, or drawings, which are always cherished by our staff.
Thank you for your understanding and for being such an integral part of our school community. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

We wish Leah all the best for the future and send our warmest congratulations!

Congratulations to students who participated in the Australian Maths Competition. There were many challenging questions within the tests and students showed great persistence and courage to complete the competition.
In particular, Atharv had outstanding results with a High Distinction and was recognised as one of the state’s top performers in the competition.
Grade 5-6 Question example: Li attempted to multiply a single-digit number by 36, but he accidentally multiplied by 63 instead. His answer was 189 larger that the correct answer. What was the correct answer to the multiplication?
Grade 3-4 Question example: Tom is digging holes in his garden for his new plants. As he is working he slows down. Each hole takes a minute longer to dig than the last hole. The first 5 holes have taken him 35 minutes in total. How long will it take him to dig the next 2 holes?
Celebrating the Value of Courage
Congratulations to students who received Courage certificates, and our kinder students who also received Courage tokens at our morning meeting.
This term we have been focusing on non-fiction texts and writing some animal reports. We are working very hard on our segmenting and blending, punctuation and handwriting. Here are some examples of our wonderful work.
